Every time that I have to drive in to work in the snow, it makes me
seriously consider working from home. If I switched to remote verification
and supplemented with a part-time job as a personal assistant, that wouldn't
be bad. ::sigh:: And then I wouldn't have to deal with the cold and the
    wet and the stupid drivers.

Plus, if I worked from home, I could watch TV while I worked. I could
finally catch up on all those shows I want to get through.....

I'm fairly confident that the other girl working on my service is going to
drive me crazy at some point. She's worked here for awhile now, and she's
still asking me questions that she should know the answer to. Or the answer
is blindingly obvious if you're not an idiot. When I'm already tired and
cranky, it makes me want to choke her.

[info]8_inches_lucid and I picked out and purchased a dining room set,
and that's being delivered tomorrow. It's sort of exciting, in that I'm
looking forward to getting to set things out and display them nicely under
lights. It's sort of tiring in that I have to find someplace else for all
of the things in the dining room. [info]pat_brad was kind enough to
help move the TV console upstairs to the bedroom when he came over on
Saturday, which was awesome, because I was pretty sure that I couldn't get
it up all of those stairs. Now we've got to move my TV in, and the second
PS3 upstairs, and we'll have the ability to play games or watch movies even
when the other is doing something. Yay!

The work party went pretty well. I should probably learn how to mingle
someday, but I wouldn't bet on it. The raffle went well - I actually won an
iPod Nano, which I both enjoy and hate. I enjoy it, because it means I
don't have to listen to audiobooks on my phone. I hate it because I don't
want to use iTunes, and it doesn't want to accept music from WinAmp.
::sigh:: But [info]8_inches_lucid managed to finagle it into working
somehow last night, so at least I've got stuff on it for the car ride. :0)

I'm wicked tired. I managed to get up and scrape the car all off and get on
the road at my usual time. Stopped for gas, and then ended up sitting in
the worse traffic ever for a very long time. It literally took me an hour
just to get through Woburn. Then another hour to get to work. Where I had
to park on the 5th floor of the garage (there are only 6), and I was almost
half an hour late to work. It should not have taken two hours to get to
work. Ryan was telling me that there was a big accident that shut down
parts of 93 and the Pike, so that's probably why there was so much traffic
    in town.

Either way, I'm now unfocused and feel completely off kilter. And I want a
    nap.

Thanks to [info]thesilentpoet, I've gotten into Google Wave. I have 8
invitations. If anyone would like to try it out, or knows someone who would
like to try it out, let me know.

Getting up and coming to work early sucks. It is compounded by the
realization that although I get to leave early, the party is going to keep
me up and on my feet until I am positively exhausted. At least all I have
to do tomorrow is sort out my Christmas stuff from [info]jennaria's
and move a bunch of furniture all over the house. I'm sure that won't take
a lot of energy. ::rolls eyes::

Plus side of moving all the furniture, of course, is that I get a TV/PS3 set
up in the bedroom so that I can watch stuff and play games even when [info]8_inches_lucid is playing one of his games. Oh yeah, and the really
awesome dining room set that we picked out. That's going to be pretty
spectacular too. (I can has china hutch! With lights!)

Work is much more enjoyable when I don't have to answer the phone or
    emails. ^_^
